Questions and answers

How do I try a class?

Pick a class from the schedule and book on our registration page. Arrive fifteen minutes early, and the teacher will meet you at the door.

Which class is right for my child?

Choose the style that sounds like fun and the age group that fits: 8 to 11, 12 to 15 or 16 and up. If you are not sure, call the studio and a teacher will help you pick.

What should we wear?

Clothes you can move in and clean sneakers that stay in the studio. Breaking is easier in long pants and a long-sleeve top. There are no costumes.

Do I need to stay?

Parents of dancers 8 to 11 are welcome to wait on the bench outside Room A, and older dancers come in on their own. A grown-up collects every dancer under 12.

May I watch?

Yes. The first class of every session is a watch day, and the parents of dancers 8 to 11 can watch the last ten minutes of any class. Cypher night is open to families.

What is a level, and how does a dancer move up?

Classes are grouped as beginner, intermediate or all levels. Your teacher tells you when it is time to move up. There are no tests.

What are the extras?

There are no costumes. Showcase night in May has a production charge for each dancer, and the youth crew has a crew shirt and sometimes jams. The tuition page explains each one.

How are photos handled?

We ask for written permission before we share any photo of a child, and we never put a child's name with a photo. The family policies page has the full answer.

What if we miss a class?

Text or call us. A missed class can be made up in another class at the same level and age group during the session.

How does tuition work?

It depends on the class length, the age group and how many classes a week. The tuition page explains it, and our figures are on the registration page.

Another question?

Call the studio or send a message, and a teacher will write back.
